APW – Illinois, Bunn, very rare HC Model 8, 17J, 16S, gold-filled HC recase, front shield with initial, rear shield with cabin scene, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, raised gold jewel settings, gold train, sunburst pattern nickel damascene, s#3347668. The hunting case versions of the 16 size 17 jewel Bunn are very rare, these were made in two different variants of movement markings and the combined production of both types is 192 made. CONDITION:
Mvt: GRO, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, tiny spot of finish wear near escape jewel setting, few minuscule nicks near balance jewel setting; dial has some faint hls in outer chapter and seconds-register, minuscule flake to upper rim of center hole, reverse of dial has been inspected and has correct feet positions for this hunting case model mvt; fine hands, minute and seconds-hand have some fading and minor oxide; case shows very light wear, scattered fine scratches on front, scattered tiny nicks and dings along band, engraving and engine turning detail with very mild reduction, few tiny spots of wear to brass on band near hinges, spots of brass on cuvette; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
